The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has implemented a customized Financial Clearance workflow process in the PeopleSoft HCMS, with integration to the Financials System (Oracle EBS) for real-time fund checking and reservation. By means of a Financial Clearance Form, departmental administrators can reserve funding for new appointments, promotions, contract renewals and re-appointments, etc. The workflow process is also integrated with the Recruitment and WA modules to streamline the staff appointment process, alleviating the workload from Human Resources and Finance Office; and enhancing efficiency. The design of the workflow and the fund checking mechanism will be introduced in this session.
