The University of Cambridge has been automating it's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions installation procedure using Oracle's Deployment Packages (DPKs). It is taking a slightly different approach to some other institutions. Ansible is used to run the PeopleSoft Installer with the defaults, and to configure it afterwards.

This presentation will take you through aspects of the approach to implementing the automated install that worked well, some that didn't and how some of the problems that were solved. It will touch on some of the unexpected benefits of using an automated process to deliver upgrades, and what the next steps might be.
