Implementing "approval required" in, or outside of, Program Enrolment, a pilot project at UvA

11-18-2015 01:58 PM

At the science department of the University of Amsterdam, each student needs to submit her/his personal program for approval by the exam board, shortly before applying for graduation. Program enrollment allows students to customize their programs, however it does not include a work flow for approving or disapproving these customisations. We will report on two parallel pilots: one within the PEAM pilot project at the UvA, using Program enrolment as well as service requests, the second one written as a layer on top of the SIS, currently connected to academic advisement but is designed to be adaptable to PEAM as well. Both pilot projects are being tried out on a small scale (1 programme, 1 exam committee).
