Implementing identity management in an University can be downright complex and somewhat daunting. Starting out by to design of an identity with multiple functional roles: student, staff, alumni, vendor, etc, and then choosing whether to assign multiple usernames (one per each functional role) or just one; without forget manage different IT systems and services and diverse users, among many other challenges and critical decisions.
This presentation will discuss OID, OIM, OAM challenges and will tell about strategies and solutions used to manage accounts and role assignments in our Campus Solutions, HCM, FM and EP environments. Finally it will expose our future expectations with IM.
