Florida State University (FSU) successfully built Background Checking Questionnaire Form on HRMS Job Opening page and Job Offer page with HRMS 9.2 and PT 8.54. Base on different job categories like Salaried, OPS, or OPS Express, different set of questionnaire forms will be displayed on different pages. The answer of the questionnaire will be mapped to a Background Level, and allows upper level approvers to change and/or set the background check level needed for the hiring process.

The presentation will introduce the whole picture of functionality, interface, and database design. As a case study, we will also talk about what challenges we met during this project and how we solved it. Such as, how to map questionnaire answers to the different Background Levels, how to insert the questionnaire to the job opening page and job offer page, and how to validate the background level to make sure it has a value at the final approval.
