The University of Nottingham (UoN) is a global university, with campuses in Malaysia and China as well as the UK. Working in three regulatory regions brings challenges. The complexity of UoN’s implementation was increased by the need to configure for all UoN’s campuses, including student mobility options, through all the Campus Solutions modules in use (Campus Community, Admissions, Student Records, PEAM, Student Finances and Financial Aid). The constraints of configuration for functionality in one module were sometimes at odds with another module for UoN’s scenarios. This talk describes the implementation challenges of working in multiple regions as faced by UoN, and how they have been addressed.
