The new Fluid-framework makes it possible to develop good looking and well-functioning self-service functionality that goes beyond the pages Oracle has delivered. In this presentation we will show you the results of three projects, two for the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (students and faculty/study advisors) and one for Leiden University (application and admission for students with a foreign diploma). The functionality delivered for the students and faculty is comparable with existing self-service functionality but looks much more appealing and functions better, according to our users. The students can see their results and progress, on laptop, tablet and smartphone, and enroll in classes.Teachers are able to easily locate their courses and enter results and study advisers to see the progress of their students and add comments/notes.The functionality for the application and admission process is new, partly based on Evaluation Management and document upload, but mostly build from scratch. The applicants can enter all the necessary information and upload documents in a fluid environment, and make online payments for their application fee.
