Our lives are becoming more online and the line between our "work" persona and our "life" persona is fading. Data from wearables, apps in our smartphones, monitors on out nightstands, infrared spectrometers and the like are streaming data about our activities, vital signs, what we eat, and how many steps we take each day.Our mission as HR practitioners is to find a way to apply these new trends and technologies to the workplace challenges in a way that respects privacy and encourages adoption.We need to connect the trends and technologies in useful ways to our existing HR systems to better meet the Employee needs while delivering business results to the organisation.Social is changing everything and needs to be incorporated in how we work in as much as it impacts how we shop, how we play and how we connect each day. This presentation will discuss how we can incorporate social in Learning, Performance and Recruiting and also looks at how we can incorporate Work/Life solutions such as Social Reputation, Employee Wellness and Gamification into our systems to increase Employee engagement and thereby improve productivity for the organisation.
