Griffith University recently replaced their ageing Sun M9k infrastructure which hosted their PeopleSoft Oracle 11g database backend with HP Proliant blades, HP 3PAR storage arrays, VMWare virtualisation and Oracle 12c RAC/ASM. The infrastructure replacement provided a timely opportunity to re-think and re-design based on current business requirements which centred around agility, rapid provisioning, performance and availability.
