With mobile device usage expected to grow exponentially in the coming years and the predicted shift from Personal Computers and the expectations of students, faculty and staff around the globe to have the ability to bring their own devices to campus, the TAG believes it can provide information and guidance to HEUG member institutions that will help them prepare for this important trend. This paper is intended to help address various questions that an institution may have while preparing to provide mobile services. It will also point out critical decision points and provide guidance for planning for the future of mobile evolution. With various TAG members’ organizations pursuing different approaches, we are in a unique position to provide information to the community at large and make the decision process easier.
