Oracle's strategic direction is strongly Cloud-focused. Apart from Software as a Service (SAAS) - where Oracle is offering applications in the cloud such as Cloud HR and Cloud Finance and well as Cloud BI and Cloud Access and Identity management, there is a great deal of marketing by Oracle and other vendors about Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS) and Platform as a Service (PAAS). but sometimes the marketing jargon is just overwhelming. Institutions considering moving into the cloud need to clearly understand their options; pros and cons, etc. of the cloud strategy - and what considerations may affect the migration to Oracle Cloud offering vis-a-vis non-Oracle offerings (e.g. AWS). Come and join us for this round table. This session is intended to clarify the differences between SAAS, PAAS and IAAS and discuss the options that institutions have to move aspects of their IT into the cloud.
