In 2009, the Univ of Pretoria converted its legacy (mainframe) Residence Management [Housing] suite into PeopleCode and integrated this with many other modules within PS Campus. Whilst this system originally focused on managing room allocation; utilization, and student billing during the academic semesters, the system has been continuously enhanced as new features and integrations were sought - and was enhanced further recently to also function as a "hotel booking" system during the student recess periods - during which times these rooms can be booked by other parties
