How to HEUG Online: Admissions Forum/Listserv Subscriptions

Hello Admissions Community!


The HEUG forums are an excellent place for us to learn from each other, share information, ask questions and search for answers. The Admissions forum is our community forum for all things Admissions, and while we can post to the forum and search for information when logged into HEUG Online, did you know that you can also subscribe to the forum and receive updates in your inbox?

 

To add a subscription to the Admissions forum/listserv, when you are logged into HEUG Online, follow these steps:

  1. Hover/Click the My Options menu drop down
    • This can be found under your name in the upper right-hand side of the screen
  2. Choose My Subscriptions
  3. Click the plus ‘+’ icon on the left of the screen
    • This will open a window where you can search and select the Admissions forum
  4. Select a Category: Choose Campus Solutions from the drop down
  5. Then Select Topic: Choose Admissions from the drop down
  6. Select Subscription Type: Choose your preference (Subscription Types are described below)
  7. Click the Add button
  8. Your subscription has been added!

Subscription Types:

  • Immediate Email: This option sends any forum posts directly to your email account as soon as they are posted.
  • Immediate Digest with links: This option sends any forum posts directly to your email account as soon as they are received, including links to download any attachments.
  • Summary Digest: This option sends a digest directly to your email account once per day, listing the titles from any forum posts received during that day. Links will be provided to view the full forum post within the system.
  • Full Digest with attachments: This option sends a digest directly to your email account once a day with the full text from any forum posts received during that day, and all the attachments from those posts.
  • Full Digest with links: This option sends a digest directly to your email account once a day with the full text from any forum posts received during that day, and links to download any of the attachments from those posts.

With whatever subscription type you choose, it will be sent to you by the forum/listserv email address.  The Admissions listserv email address is: adm.ps@list.heug.org. If you reply to an email, it will be sent to the listserv. This can be a great option if your subscription type is Immediate Email, because you can interact in real-time via email without logging into the HEUG site.
