02-14-2011 11:45 AM

Use of the Third Party Contract (TPC) functionality continues to grow and the number of students on any given contract has expanded. No real improvements in this functionality have been made in several years. However, the number of issues being reported by Student Financial users is increasing. The number of different sponsors including government departments or other agencies is greater than ever. Each with their own and varied requirements. This is placing mounting pressure on Universities and generating substantial manual work. It has been a regular topic at the Birds of a Feather Sessions at the Alliance Conferences and on the HEUG listserve.

The proposed enhancements will assist Universities to better manage Third Party Contracts and Organization Billing by: Providing increased flexibility Streamlining business processes Assisting Universities to better meet the requirements of Organizations and Sponsors. The range of issues and proposed enhancements has been grouped into categories. This will enable work to be carried out on the various parts and delivered progressively.
