6-8 November 2013
Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Spa
Gold Coast Australia

Last year’s conference was again a huge success with almost 350 HEUG members participating in over 50 sessions across 6 different tracks. The HEUG website, has been updated and now contains the information you need to plan for attending the 2013 conference. More information on registration, hotel accommodations, and special events will follow in July. Get involved! Consider submitting a presentation for this year’s event.

Keep your eye on the website to keep abreast of developments and key releases of information.

If you are not a current member of the HEUG please ensure you join ASAP. You will need to be a member in order to register for the conference and for presentation submissions. Membership information can be found here.

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

One of the key elements to making this conference a success is your participation! The standard of presentations at last year's conference was excellent and the organising committee is very keen to build on that success. This can only happen with your support. We need you to get involved by submitting proposals for presentations for the conference.

This year we are introducing some changes to the structure of the program in response to feedback from previous conferences. There will be 3 types of presentations:

Short Presentation – 30 minutes
Standard Presentation – 45 minutes
Deep Dive/Workshop – 90 minutes

The introduction of a short presentation option is to allow delegates the opportunity to share good practice, an idea or a question with colleagues in a short, sharp format. This will mean that we can include more presentations within the program. Please indicate in your response to this call for presentations if you wish to submit an idea under the "short presentation" option.

Feedback also suggested that it would be good to have a small number of longer sessions to allow a deep dive/workshop option to the program.

Also be aware that the primary speaker for every standard and deep dive session proposal accepted will receive a free registration to the ANZ Alliance Down Under 2013 conference! The primary speaker for short presentations will be entitled to a 50% discount on the conference fee.

Please submit your presentation ideas by going to the ‘Presentation Guidelines’ Tab within the ‘Alliance Down Under 2013’ website, which can be accessed through HEUG Online.

The deadline for submissions is 12 July 13.

We are also looking at ways outside the presentations to allow delegates to identify common areas of interest at the beginning of the conference. More details on that later.
