This month’s member newsletter is chock full of great information; it’s amazing to see all the regionals locally and globally that are being offered, and are in full swing. Take some time to look at the newsletter for this month, and check out the HEUG presidents blog, strategy is on his mind. Furthermore, the 2016 Alliance conference planning is shaping up nicely, check out the progress so far at here, there are many exciting things planned for us in Seattle, don’t miss out, be in the know.
Also, great job to the PAGS, looks like a record number of blogs for July, there were some amazing webinars, and sharing of crucial information with the community. Keep up the good work.
On another note, a few of us attended the Southern African HEUG conference held at Cape Town University; this was a very successful conference. The conference was well attended, in fact, they expected 150 attendees and ended up with more than 200. Over 34 sessions were offered, and the sessions were organized by Finance, General Interest, Student, and Technical tracks.
There were three presenters from our PAG members, Stephen Brawn CC, Christo Saunders CC, and Paul Steenkamp SR, and there were a couple of presentations by Oracle, one in particular on ‘Oracle Cloud Strategy: Journey to a Modern Campus’. Overall it was a successful conference, and attendees were represented by eleven schools in the SA region. Congratulations to the SA HEUG planning team at Cape Town University, and the Socious staff for helping make this a great conference experience.
