Leading Change Together
After much internal and external discussion, the HEUG Board has made the decision that Alliance 2021 will be a virtual, online-only conference. While nothing is as good as an in-person event where we can all collaborate and celebrate together, we are excited about continuing to offer our members the best possible experience to learn, share, connect and inspire each other, regardless of our current environment and situations.
In particular, we have listened to your feedback and are proud to be updating our conference content and engagement models. The HEUG membership is built from many passionate and dedicated thought leaders and we are striving to create ways for you to connect through an array of different channels such as community discussions, coffee breaks, happy hours, chat features within sessions and breakouts with our vendor partners.
Additionally, we will be providing some new enhancements to our 2021 virtual conference. We are thrilled to announce that we will be offering continuing professional education (CPE) credits for our members as well as focused expansion on topics around current events, challenges and opportunities that we are all facing in these unprecedented times. We are also excited about expanding our professional development courses to a broader range of topics, such as managing change, thriving in telework, diversity and inclusion, and unconscious bias training.
Given the current circumstances we are all facing at our organizations, this year we want to challenge you to Lead Change Together. The strength of Alliance is in you, our members, and your dedication and expertise that has helped to build this inspiring community. The 2020 Virtual Conference this past May proved that the Alliance conference will always be the premier place for higher education and public sector knowledge sharing, no matter the format. With more time for planning and preparation, as well as months of experience and feedback to build upon, the HEUG Board feels confident that the virtual experience in 2021 will be even better.
