As you know, regional events continue to grow in popularity. Since the registration fees are lower than Alliance and these events are in accessible regions, more institutions are able to send attendees. And because the regional events are smaller, it allows for more direct opportunities to network with peers.
At the Alliance Conference, a Stop & Share has been scheduled to discuss organizing a NW Regional HEUG. We are unsure yet of the states that would be involved, but we are assuming Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. It’s also possible to include member institutions in Western Canada, if there is interest.
If you are interested in this and would like to be part of a planning committee (or just want more information), plan to attend this Stop & Share on Monday, March 16, from noon to 12:30 at the Alliance Conference. It would be great to get a regional event for those of us in the Northwest!
