Session Title: Understanding Transaction Tables in Student Financials
Presenter: Paul McWhorter, Senior Manager, Student Accounts Systems and Operations, Harvard University
We will review, explain and analyze the core transactional tables in Student Financials: ITEM_SF, ITEM_LINE_SF, ITEM_DUE_SF, PAYMENT_TBL, and ITEM_XREF. Participants should understand what data is contained in each table, how each table relates to the others, and where each table is used on corresponding admin pages. Additionally, we'll cover basics of querying these tables, note common misunderstandings and difficulties, and highlight useful problem solving techniques.
