Alliance 2022 in Seattle is just around the corner – the first in-person conference in what seems like forever. It’s hard to believe we’ve been remote for only two years. Alliance 2021 Virtual was a great event - the presentations and networking sessions were excellent, but there’s something really exciting about seeing people for real, in-person. Call it Zoom fatigue, cabin fever, the winter doldrums or whatever – maybe I just need to get outside…..I’ve been working from home for too long!
Two representatives from the CRM AG, Tina Gonzales from Boise State, and myself, volunteered to be participants on the Alliance 2022 Program Task Force this year, tasked with reviewing and providing feedback on the submitted presentations. There were 16 HEUG members from across the country, and around the world on the taskforce, providing feedback on sessions, consolidating additional feedback from our Advisory groups (thanks team!) and incorporating the community voting results in our selection lists. Let me tell you, it was a great experience! The quality and diversity of this year’s sessions are incredible, and the time and thought that people put into this effort was impressive.
The Alliance Conference Team - Cheri McEntee, Renee Riley, Brad Carlson, and Jason Koziara, continue to amaze me with their boundless energy and enthusiasm – they have put heart and soul, and thousands of hours, into planning what is sure to be another hugely successful conference. And a huge shout out to the HEUG and Higher Logic support staff that bring everything together so perfectly!
Over the next 2 weeks, I’ll be blogging to highlight the CRM Track offerings for Alliance 2022. This year we have 21 CRM or CRM-related session offerings - a record! We definitely have something of interest to everyone even remotely interested in CRM; sessions on service desk implementations, admissions processes, advising systems, retention efforts, automated communication workflows, project management, data management and visualization from vendors as well as member institutions– you name it, I think you’ll find it at Alliance 2022!
For the sake of transparency, the session descriptions that will follow in the coming days have been edited/altered/paraphrased for the sake of brevity. The full-unedited session descriptions can be found on the HEUG Alliance mobile app by using the Track Search functionality.
I hope you all will be able to make it to Seattle this year – but I also realize that some institutions have travel restrictions or budget crunches, and know that you can’t make it. That’s OK – Alliance attendees will have access to the session recordings free of charge. Non-attendees will have the option to purchase sessions on-demand. Stay tuned for more information.
