Four components are required for any project to be successful: a solid project plan, focused change management, a comprehensive communication plan and a thoughtful training plan. Leave one of these components out of the mix, and even the smallest project will fail.
So what do you do when you have been assigned to lead a project and you have no idea how to get started? That's where the Project and Change Management Advisory Group (PCM) can help.
PCM is composed of your peers who have combined practical experience in all aspects of a project. Post your questions to the 900+ member PCM list, check out the PCM library for job aids, read the blogs and review the archived webinars and Alliance presentations. You will find the information you are seeking to not only start your program, but also help to make it a success!
The name may imply that PCM focuses strictly on project management and change management, but in reality we take a holistic approach to the Project. By adding communications, as well as training and user support, we are focused on four of the central elements of any plan.
So I urge you to check out the PCM site and get involved with the community. Join the PCM list and post or answer questions. Share documentation and add templates or tools to the new PCM Library. Review our upcoming webinars or search the archives for information you need. Share your experiences through blogs and give back to others searching for answers by presenting at Alliance conferences.
We’re looking forward to having your voice added to the PCM group!
