I’m happy to announce the program for the 2020 Alliance Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has been released. The track chairs have again done an excellent job selecting sessions for you. We have expanded our offerings related to the cloud products and expanded the innovation alley offerings. Whether you are a functional or technical user, just starting out in your career or a seasoned veteran, or anywhere in between, you are sure to find sessions that will be meaningful to you across the 16 different tracks.

So why come to Alliance? What makes it different from any other conference out there? As you know, HEUG stands for “Higher Education User Group.” The keyword there is ‘User’: The HEUG is truly a user-driven organization and the sessions at our conference reflect that fact. Over two-thirds of the sessions in the program are from HEUG member institutions. This conference is a great way to get the inside scoop on how to get things done from your peer institutions. The level of camaraderie and knowledge sharing we enjoy at Alliance is unrivaled.

So join us! If you haven’t registered yet, there is still time before early-bird ends on January 10th. Once you’ve registered, be sure to look over the program using the online Session Viewer and Search. The HEUG Event app will not be available until January 15th. Once available you will be able to download the app and create your agenda on your Mobil device.

Start building your agenda on January 15th before you get to Philly. Taking the time to put your agenda together ahead of time will ensure you are using your time efficiently to get the most out of your 3 days. Having your agenda available on your phone allows you to quickly navigate the conference and adjust your agenda as needed. Why carry around paper when you can have everything in the palm of your hand!

In an effort to continue updating the conference program we have a new offering in the Innovation Alley, the Campfire session. The campfire session will allow attendees to have informal discussions with 20-30 people on various topics of interest. For example, come listen and discuss the Project and Change Management Advisory Group’s new speaker certification program open to all members of HEUG. We also are bringing back old favorites, Stop n Share, Meet the experts and Peer demos. If you have never checked out the Innovation alley’s offerings make sure to include them on your agenda, you will be pleasantly surprised. Innovation Alley is located on the 2nd floor of the Philadelphia Convention Center. (Upstairs, look for the signs!)

On behalf of the entire Conference team, I’d like to wish you and your families a happy and peaceful holiday season. We hope to see you in Philly in the New Year!
