Why Join the CoP Council?
The CoP council (formerly known as Advisory Groups) plays a pivotal role in shaping the HCM Systems landscape for HEUG. As a CoP member, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Influence Decision-Making: Contribute to discussions about upcoming features, best practices, and session planning for the track during Alliance.
- Network and Collaborate: Connect with fellow champions and thought leaders amongst the community
- Share Your Expertise: Host webinars, provide valuable content, and actively engage with the HCM community.

Who Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking individuals who embody the spirit of HCM excellence. Whether you’re an HCM/HR professional, Business Analyst, or Functional Analyst, consider nominating yourself or someone else who has expertise and commitment in the following three areas:
Proficiency in HCM Modules and Topics
- Core HR: Understand the foundational aspects of HCM, including employee records, compliance, and organizational structures.
- Talent Acquisition: Explore recruitment strategies, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and candidate experience
- Benefits, Payroll, and Time & Labor: Familiarity with benefits administration, payroll processing, and time tracking.
- Employee Learning/Development: Advocate for continuous learning and skill development.
- Position Management: Grasp of position management, job descriptions, and organizational hierarchies.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity within HCM systems.
- Compensation: Navigating salary structures and incentives.
Experience with HCM Products
- PeopleSoft: Share your insights, tips, and success stories related to PeopleSoft HCM.
- Workday: Explore Workday’s features, integrations, and implementation strategies.
- Oracle HCM: Cover Oracle’s HCM suite, including modules like payroll, benefits, and talent management.
- Ellucian Products: Discussing Ellucian’s solutions for higher education institutions
Collaborator Extraordinaire
- Networker: Connect with other champions, vendors, and the broader HCM Systems community.
- Effective Communicator: Keep the community informed about upcoming features and respond to inquiries.
- Commitment: Dedicate 4 to 6 hours per month to the following:
- Monthly Meetings
- Attend CoP Champions (Advisory Group) meetings and the Community Council (All AG) meetings.
- Content Creation
- Host webinars/discussions related to HCM topics and provide valuable content for the listserv, library, or blog.
- Engagement
- Respond promptly on the listserv, assisting others or directing them to relevant resources.
Nominations and Election Timeline
- Nominations Open: March 20, 2024
- Nominations Close: April 19, 2024
- Elections Open: May 8, 2024
- Elections Close: May 24, 2024
