Session Title: The Bare Necessities: Using Delivered Functionality For A Program With A Billing Schedule

Concordia University has been live with Campus Solutions since January 2015. Master & PhD students at the institution are billed on a payment schedule. First, students are billed for a fixed amount of billing units per term until they pay for units required to complete the program. If they do no complete their program within a certain period, then they are billed continuation fee. The program and their approved academic load determine how much they are billed. During the development phase of the switch to PeopleSoft, the university decided to use delivered functionality to bill students instead of creating a custom process.
This session will discuss the steps taken in order to achieve this billing, from setting up equation variables, using population update for updating equation variables and creating equations for handling exceptions to the normal payment schedule.
