The September and our students are back on campus or online. The PCM Advisory Group has been busy working on our PCM Community pages on the HEUG website.
We aim to facilitate discussion and sharing of information on broad areas relating to Project Management, Change Management, Communication, Testing, Training and End-User Support.
What's New
- Our Library is now available for sharing documents for Change Management, Project Management and Training documents. Help us build it with your contributions!
- Four webinars are scheduled for September focusing on Project Management Skills/Leadership Skills, Best Practices and Personal/Professional Development.
- Alliance 2019 Conference is March 3-6, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. We need your ideas and session proposals to help make the “magic” happen.
The Library: Project Management, Change Management, Training & End User Support
The PCM Library is now “open!” It’s the place for our PCM Community members to share information, tools, resources and best practices in Project Management, Change Management, Training and End-User Support.
Help us build our collection. It’s easy to share!
- Navigate to the PCM Library.
- Select the appropriate Library area for your file.
- Choose the Add a File button (+).
- Enter a Title and brief description.
- Select a Classification (i.e. PAGS).
- Add appropriate Tags (PCM, Training Tools, etc.).
- The Category/Topic fields should contain PAG Groups and the Library you selected for your file.
- Select the Upload a File button.
- Choose your file.
- Select the OK button.

Alliance 2019 Conference
Besides the Disney Characters, what else are you hoping to find out about at this year’s Alliance conference? We are looking for sessions that focus on Training, End User Support, Project Management, Change Management, Communications, and Testing.
Some important dates for Alliance 2019:
- August 28, 2018: Call for session proposals begins.
- October 3, 2018: Last day to submit a proposal.
- October 5-12, 2018: Voting for Alliance 2019 sessions by PCM listserv members.
- Late October 2018: Emails go out to everyone who submitted a proposal.
- November 8, 2018: Housing and registration opens with the early bird rate.
- January 11, 2019: Early bird rate ends.
- March 3-6, 2019: Alliance 2019 Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Advisory Groups
Our 2018-2019 Advisory Group members bring a wide variety of experience to the Group. Two positions are up for election this year. If you are interested in becoming part of the Advisory Group, check out the Call for Nominations.
Current PCM Advisory Group members are:
Chair: Mary-Ann Bloss, Associate Director at the University of Arkansas. Mary-Ann serves as a system security administrator, project manager for overarching projects, communications director and is actively involved in change management.
Vice Chair: Charita Hampton, Director of ERP Systems at the University of Houston System. Charita was the Project Manager of functional tasks when they upgraded to Campus Solutions 9.2 in March 2017. She also managed the financial portion of the University of Houston’s Downtown PeopleSoft implementation and led the testing efforts for the entire project.
Secretary/Librarian: Michael Humphrys, Manager, IT Strategy and Planning at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (HKS). Michael has worked at HKS since 2005 in various roles relating to the strategic use of Information Technology across the school. He has also worked at a large non-profit Education Center focused on transforming lives through innovation in education and human development.
Conference Track Chair: Stacy Mitchell, Associate Director of Student Information Systems at Case Western Reserve University. Stacy manages a team of business analysts that serve as a liaison between functional users and IT. She manages projects for multiple functional areas working with all levels of staff, faculty and administration to identify and promote expanded uses of SIS throughout the university.
Assistant Conference Track Chair: Lauren Shield, Senior Manager, Student Systems & Student Central IT Business Partner at the University of Newcastle in Australia. Lauren is responsible for the administration, operation and enhancement of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system. She works as the business representative with IT Services division on a number of strategic IT projects aimed at enhancing the student experience and transforming ways in which they work.
Education Coordinator: Normandy Roden, Director, Finance & Procurement Business Services in the Office of University Controller, University of Colorado. Normandy focuses on three general areas: systems (development, design, testing), communication (writing/editing, policy dissemination, marketing, media relations), and training (on policies, technical procedures, personal development). Her unit supports the fiscal initiatives of the multi-campus system through web, communications, training, documentation, help desk services, and assessment in the financial areas.
Communications: Liz Medvetz, IT Training Strategist/Instructor at the University at Albany. Liz is a seasoned Trainer/ Instructor and has led the University at Albany’s Training & End User Support team since the University’s initial PeopleSoft implementation. She has recently taken on the role of IT Training Strategist for all of the University’s IT Enterprise Applications.
HEUG Board Member & Liaison to PCM Advisory Group: Brad Finley, Director of Enterprise Systems at Illinois Central College. Brad’s department supports the PeopleSoft applications (HCM 9.2, Campus Solutions 9.0, Finance 9.1) and all of the numerous other business systems that are integrated to it. He recently completed the PMI certified project manager training and is responsible for the IT project management initiatives at ICC.
HEUG Board Liaison: Derry Fong, Director of Information Systems Office at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Derry joined The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology four years ago. His office looks after the PeopleSoft Campus, Financials, HCM and other non-PeopleSoft administrative information systems in the University. He is currently a HEUG Board member, representing Asia.
